New GM Joshua Abramson was quoted saying "We have to take this team in a new direction. We are looking at this as a marathon and not a sprint." Said Mr. Abramson, 34, who expressed cautious optimism. "We have a few key players to build around. Players like Evan Longoria, Matt Cain, and Justin Verlander."
